A little bit of Faith, Amen!

IF. Investor Fear. I spoke about this calculation in the last post. Now…how can YOU overcome it?


IF. That’s all you need to know. The word “If”. If you can Keep the Faith, you will overcome fear. How many times do we worry about something and it doesn’t happen? And how many times is there an answer to a problem when it seems like there will be none? When it comes to investing and the market, we already know that fear will drive your mindset if you allow it. In nearly 30 years of working with money and investing, I can attest to the fact that worrying won’t help! But sticking with your plan, and having FAITH will!


The recent market volatility is a precursor to something more. Will it be a major move down? Could it be a major move higher? No one really can tell you the future. But allowing a plan that is intended to reach your goals will help keep the calm in the storm. I can tell you from my own personal experience through the following events, sticking with it and having some FAITH works:


  • Asian Financial Crisis (1997)

  • Russian Financial Crisis (1998)

  • Dot Com Bubble (2000)

  • September 11th (2001)

  • Bear Market (2002)

  • Financial Crisis and Bear Market (2007-2009)

  • European Sovereign Debt Crisis (2010)

  • Flash Crash (2010)

  • Bear Market (2011)

  • Stock Market Crash and Bear Market (2015-2016)

  • Cryptocurrency Crash (2018)

  • Stock Market Crash from Covid (2020)

  • Bear Market (2022)

  • Chinese and Tokyo Market Crash (2024)


You can’t control the market or what it will do. You can control your emotions about what is happening when it feels like the worst is coming. So Keep the Faith. Believe. And realize that money isn’t anything that represents what matters most in life…but your Faith certainly does! I have put my Faith in Jesus and give thanks He has given me an ability to not only get through tough times, but to lead others like you through it as well! Amen!
