A new year and a new way of thinking! Time for you to shine! What's in store for 2026 for the market? Are you mentally prepared for volatility or a market correction? Have you reviewed your goals and plan to include all areas of your finances?

This is a great time to put yourself on track for the year by taking an inventory of your expense needs, shine a light on your regular spending habits, and review your longer term goals to keep you on track once the volatility is sure to return to the market. The market, despite the large Tariff Tantrum in 2025, has increased at a rate rarely seen over the past 3 years. In other words, the market has been shining! History has demonstrated that once this level has been achieved, we are due for a setback. We believe that the market is changing under the hood and the opportunity may lie with asset classes and sectors that differ from what has worked in the past. Though this may be of some help, when a market downturn hits, most equity areas will come down. So it's also time to shine some light on how you feel about seeing a decline in your current value? Can you handle some volatility? If this thought worries you, look over your needs for the next 12 months and make sure it is available to you in some sort of short term holding.
