Peaceful Easy Feeling

Every time I sing one of my favorite Eagles songs, I recognize the power of music.  The acoustic guitars and soothing melody that accompany the lyrics, “I got a peaceful, easy feeling and I know it won’t let me down, ‘cause I’m already standing on the ground” actually creates a peaceful easy feeling when I listen to it.  Whether I am singing along to an Eagles tribute band playing live (shout out to 7 Bridges!), singing and walking in my kitchen when my Echo plays it, or really belting it out in the karaoke bar in my basement, the song helps me relax.  Contrary to that feeling, we all have areas of our life that cause stress.  When it comes to your financial life, what causes the most stress for you?  Do you worry that you won’t accumulate enough to retire?  How will you pay for a college education?  Is your portfolio allocated properly given your goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance?  How aggressively should you pay you’re your debt?  What adjustments if any should you make to your portfolio given the current market environment?  Would your family be okay if you passed away unexpectedly?  Would a long-term care stay wipe out your assets?  If those questions weren’t enough to take away your peaceful easy feeling, congratulations on being in a fantastic spot with your financial life!  If one of those questions evoked a little agita, find an advisor who focuses on a financial plan tailored to your specific situation and monitors and adjusts your investments proactively (www.econwealth.com).  Life will provide plenty of stressful situations that you won’t be able to anticipate, but having a plan when it comes to your financial life can help guide you toward that peaceful easy feeling that the Eagles sing about!
